Due to the approach of Typhoon No. 10, the operation plan for the Tokaido Shinkansen has been adjusted as follows:
August 31 Operation Plan
Mishima Station to Nagoya Station
- Operations on both the up and down lines will be suspended for the entire day.
Tokyo Station to Mishima Station
- Regular timetable operations will be suspended, and operations will begin sequentially starting with trains departing from the initial station around 12:00 PM.
- Operations from Tokyo Station towards Mishima Station will start with the "Kodama 325" departing Tokyo Station at 12:27 PM.
- Operations from Mishima Station towards Tokyo Station will start with the "Kodama 326" departing Mishima Station at 12:27 PM.
- In both directions, about two "Kodama" trains per hour will operate as extra trains, with all non-reserved seats.
Nagoya Station to Shin-Osaka Station
- Regular timetable operations will be suspended, and from the first train, about two "Kodama" trains per hour will be operated in both directions as extra trains, with all non-reserved seats.
Important Notice
- Heavy rain is already occurring between Tokyo and Mishima Stations as well as between Nagoya and Shin-Osaka Stations. Depending on future weather conditions, there may be sudden suspensions of some trains, prolonged service interruptions, or even the cancellation of operations for the entire day.
