Operation plan of the Tokaido Shinkansen along with the approach of Typhoon No. 10
(As of 20:15 on August 25)
Tokaido Shinkansen is expected to experience heavy rain and strong winds along the line after
the approach and passage of Typhoon No. 10. Depending on the typhoon's future course and
strength, and other weather conditions, there is a possibility that the whole line or some
sections will be suspended or suspended for a long period of time from August 28 to 29.
Many people are expected to use the line around the period when the planned suspension may
occur (August 27 or 30). We recommend that you make reservations for reserved seats as
much as possible before arriving at the station and traveling. Please note that there are times
when reserved seats are highly reserved, and we may not be able to accept changes to your
desired date and time. Thank you for your understanding.
Heavy rain is expected to continue on the 27th, and there is a possibility that operations will
be suspended for a long period of time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause,
but please pay close attention to future weather and train operation information, and consider
changing your plans.
