Tokaido Shinkansen Operation Plan Due to the Approach of Typhoon No. 10

Tokaido Shinkansen Operation Plan Due to the Approach of Typhoon No. 10

・August 29 (Thursday)

There will be no planned suspensions. However, due to the possibility of heavy rain in the Shizuoka area and sudden changes in weather conditions caused by the approaching typhoon, some trains may be canceled, or long delays may occur. Please consider traveling early.
Due to the planned suspension of the Sanyo Shinkansen between Hiroshima and Hakata, the destinations of some direct trains from the Tokaido Shinkansen will be altered.
The final direct train from the Tokaido Shinkansen to Hakata will be the "Nozomi 35," departing from Tokyo Station at 13:12.

・August 30 (Friday)

Operations between Mishima Station and Nagoya Station will be suspended all day due to the forecast of heavy rain and strong winds.
Between Tokyo Station and Mishima Station, as well as between Nagoya Station and Shin-Osaka Station, temporary "Kodama" trains will operate approximately twice per hour in both directions, with all ordinary cars being non-reserved seats.
The regular timetable will not be followed.
Direct service between the Tokaido Shinkansen and the Sanyo Shinkansen will be suspended all day.

・August 31 (Saturday) - September 2 (Monday)

There is a possibility of planned suspensions or long delays across the entire line or in certain sections. Detailed operation plans will be announced as soon as they are determined.
Important Note:

The operation plan may change due to sudden weather changes. Please check the official websites and operation status pages of each railway company for the latest information.
