Notice Regarding Full-Day Suspension of Tokaido Shinkansen Operations (August 29, 18:50)
Due to continued heavy rain in the Shizuoka region, the Tokaido Shinkansen has been suspended for the entire day as it is not expected that conditions will improve to allow safe operations. Consequently, all scheduled trains have been canceled.
For trains currently in operation, they will either terminate at the next available station or return to their starting station. Passengers currently waiting at stations are advised that no further trains will be available today.
