Notice Regarding the Tokaido Shinkansen Operation Plan for August 30th Due to the Approach of Typhoon No. 10
- August 30th Due to the expected heavy rain and strong winds accompanying the approach and passage of Typhoon No. 10, we had planned to operate temporary "Kodama" trains with all ordinary cars as unreserved seats at a frequency of approximately two trains per hour in each direction between Tokyo Station and Mishima Station, and between Nagoya Station and Shin-Osaka Station. However, due to the heavy rain affecting the Shizuoka area and other regions starting yesterday (August 29th), services in both sections will be suspended.
Please refrain from traveling between Tokyo Station and Nagoya Station/Shin-Osaka Station until the full operation of the Tokaido Shinkansen is resumed.
Additionally, direct services between the Tokaido Shinkansen and Sanyo Shinkansen will be suspended for the entire day.
Furthermore, please be aware that some sections of connecting conventional lines may also experience service suspensions, so take care when planning your journey to your destination.
For detailed information, please check each company's website.
- August 31st to September 2nd During this period, there may be planned service suspensions or long-term service disruptions in some sections or across the entire line.
