Located in Rikuzentakata City, Iwate Prefecture, the Iwate Tsunami Memorial (Higashi-Nihon Daishinsai Tsunami Denshōkan) is a powerful and educational facility dedicated to preserving the memory and lessons of the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami that struck on March 11, 2011.
