JR East to Open Temporary "Midori no Madoguchi" Ticket Counters Starting in Early July

To accommodate the expected surge in passenger demand during the busy summer travel season, JR East will implement several measures starting in early July 2025, including the opening of temporary ticket counters.


🏷️ Temporary Ticket Counters at Stations with "Talk-Enabled" Reserved Seat Ticket Machines

On dates and times when heavy congestion is expected, temporary Midori no Madoguchi (JR ticket offices) will be opened.

Applicable Stations:
Kawaguchi, Kita-Asaka, Minami-Koshigaya, Kawagoe, Kuki


🏷️ Additional Support at Stations with Permanent "Midori no Madoguchi" Offices

Stations with existing Midori no Madoguchi will continue to operate with increased staffing on days of anticipated congestion during the advance ticket sales period.

Ikebukuro, Kamata, Kashiwa, Tsurumi, Musashi-Kosugi, Musashi-Mizonokuchi, Noborito, Yokohama, Totsuka, Ofuna, Hiratsuka, Odawara, Ito, Machida, Kichijoji, Mitaka, Kokubunji, Tachikawa, Hachioji, Otsuki, Kofu, Omiya, Musashi-Urawa, Utsunomiya, Takasaki, Mito, Katsuta, Iwaki, Ichikawa, Tsudanuma, Chiba, Shin-Urayasu

Tohoku Area:
Koriyama, Furukawa, Shin-Shirakawa, Ichinoseki, Hachinohe, Akita, Hirosaki
