JR West had been considering a preservation and exhibition location for the Doctor Yellow (T3 formation), which is currently on display at the "SCMAGLEV and Railway Park," following a request from JR Central for its return. It has now been decided that the train will be exhibited at "Train Park Hakusan" in Hakusan City, Ishikawa Prefecture.
Features of Doctor Yellow (T3 Formation)
- Manufactured in 1979.
- Used for inspecting the electrical and track conditions while operating on the Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen lines (between Tokyo and Hakata).
- Inspection operations ended in 2005 with the introduction of the T5 formation.
- Displayed at the "SCMAGLEV and Railway Park" since 2011.
Exhibition Details
- Exhibition Location: Multi-purpose space next to the entrance on the first floor of "Train Park Hakusan."
- Planned Exhibition Start Date: Around June 2025 (exact details to be announced later).
