JR East will promote the Osaka-Kansai Expo by operating wrapped trains featuring the E5 Series Shinkansen and Yamanote Line trains ahead of the expo's opening.
Wrapped Shinkansen Details
- Design: The design will feature the official mascot of the Osaka-Kansai Expo, "Myakumyaku," among other elements.
- Start Date: Wednesday, October 16, 2024
- Operating Route: Tohoku and Hokkaido Shinkansen (between Tokyo and Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto)
- Trains: The wrapped trains will operate as "Hayabusa," "Hayate," "Yamabiko," and "Nasuno."
- Operation Period: From October 16, 2024, to around early October 2025.
Yamanote Line AD Train

Operation Period: From October 16 to Thursday, October 31, 2024 (planned).
