Service Overview
Passengers will be able to pass through ticket gates using contactless credit cards, debit cards, prepaid cards, or smartphones with registered cards.
Fares will be paid later via card payment (postpaid system).
Previous Developments
Since March 2025, Tokyo Metro has already offered a service that allows users to link prepaid travel passes with contactless payment cards.
Ticket Gate Upgrades
As of the end of fiscal year 2024, contactless and QR code-compatible ticket gates have been installed at 104 of Tokyo Metro's 180 stations.
By the end of fiscal year 2025, the system is expected to be implemented at all stations, excluding those managed by third-party contractors.
