JR Freight will resume operations on the Kagoshima Main Line between Kawauchi and Kumanoshi, which had been suspended due to a freight train derailment, starting the evening of Tuesday, December 31, 2024.

Note: Services will resume in the evening, with exact timings to be announced later. - End of Alternative Transportation Services:
- Substitute transportation via the Kyushu Shinkansen (Kawauchi–Kagoshima-Chuo section).
- Replacement bus services between Kawauchi and Kumanoshi.
Both services will end on the day regular operations resume.
