Osaka Metro will conduct a GOA2.5 demonstration experiment using the new 400 series trains from February to March 2025.
Objectives of the Demonstration
- Address workforce challenges (mitigating the impact of declining working-age population and labor shortages).
- Reduce the burden on train operators (adapting to increasingly complex railway systems).
- Ensure safe and stable transportation.
- Improve convenience through more diverse timetables.
What is GOA2.5?

Testing Details
- Verification of GOA2.5 system functionality on the 400 series.
- Evaluation of emergency response operations.
- Testing under various operating conditions.
- Data collection for future implementation.
