JR East will launch a new "JR EAST PASS (Tohoku area) 10-Day" rail pass for inbound tourists, allowing for an extended stay in the Tohoku region.

In addition to the existing "JR EAST PASS (Tohoku area) 5-Day," a new 10-day option will be introduced.

Validity Period

Valid for 10 consecutive days from the start date specified at the time of purchase.

• Adults: ¥48,000
• Children: ¥24,000

Start Date for Use

From May 15, 2025

Sales Start Date

From April 15, 2025
(Available for purchase one month before the start date of use.)

Available to travelers holding a passport issued outside of Japan.

Valid Travel AreasThe pass allows unlimited rides on the following railway and bus services:

• JR East lines (including BRT)
• Izu Kyuko Line (entire line)
• Tokyo Monorail (entire line)
• Aoimori Railway (entire line)
• Iwate Galaxy Railway (IGR) (entire line)
• Sendai Airport Transit (entire line)
• Limited express (including Shinkansen), express, and local trains (including rapid trains) in the ordinary reserved seat category

Additionally, the pass covers the JR–Tobu direct limited express trains:

• Nikkō
• Spacia Nikkō
• Kinugawa
• Spacia Kinugawa

Some JR Bus routes are also included.
