JR Shikoku 2025 Timetable Revision (March 15, 2025)

JR Shikoku will implement a timetable revision on Saturday, March 15, 2025, introducing and expanding pattern-based timetables, improving limited express services, and enhancing passenger convenience.

Expansion of Pattern Timetable Operations

Yosan Line

  • Extended Pattern Operation Hours on Takamatsu – Tadotsu Section (now from 11:00 to 19:00)
  • Standardized Departure Times for Local Trains at major stations between Iyo-Saijo and Matsuyama
  • New Pattern Timetable Introduction between Matsuyama and Uwajima (via Uchiko Route)

Yodo Line

  • Pattern Timetable Introduced between Egasaki and Uwajima, except for early morning and late-night hours

Dosan Line

  • Pattern Timetable Introduced for Limited Express "Nanpu"
  • Pattern Timetable Applied between Tadotsu and Kotohira
  • Extended Pattern Operation Hours between Tosa-Yamada and Kochi (now from 9:00 to 17:00)

Kōtoku Line & Naruto Line

  • Extended Pattern Operation Hours:
    • Takamatsu – Hiketa (now from 9:00 to 19:00)
    • Itano – Tokushima and the Naruto Line (now from 9:00 to 19:00)

Limited Express Service Improvements

  • Limited Express "Uzushio" Fleet Upgraded to 2600/2700 series, enhancing speed and comfort
  • Improved Connections between Rapid "Marine Liner" and Kōtoku Line trains
  • Standardized Midday Stop Stations for Limited Express "Uzushio"

Mugi Line

  • Extended Pattern Operation Hours (now from 9:00 to 20:00)

Tokushima Station "Takt Timetable" Expansion

  • Expanded "Takt Timetable" Hours at Tokushima Station (now from 10:00 to 19:00)

Limited Express Service Adjustments

Tokushima – Okayama Route

  • Limited Express "Uzushio" Service Shortened to operate between Takamatsu and Tokushima instead of Okayama
  • Revised Coupling Operations between Limited Express "Nanpu" and "Uzushio"

Takamatsu – Kochi Route

  • Revised Coupling Operations between Limited Express "Nanpu" and "Shimanto"

Yosan Line Convenience Improvements

  • Standardized Platforms for Limited Express "Uwakai" at Iyo-Ozu & Yawatahama Stations
    • All departures/arrivals will use the station-side platform, eliminating the need to cross an overhead bridge for boarding
  • One-Man Operation Introduced on some "Uwakai" trains between Yawatahama and Uwajima

Dosan Line Changes

  • Limited Express "Nanpu 22" will now stop at Ōsugi Station
